October 25th, 2019 – Fushifaru Maldives, the 49-villa boutique resort located on the North East border of Faadhippolhu (Lhaviyani) Atoll proudly celebrated its two year anniversary.
Guests alongside resident hosts came together to celebrate Fushifaru’s second anniversary in style, with a sunset cocktail reception and a pool party with a DJ, games and lucky draws for participants.
The exquisite island of Fushifaru, a home to an extraordinary landscape above and below the waterline, officially opened its doors two years ago today, in the aim of delivering a new vision of Maldivian chic to one of the country’s most vibrant atoll destinations.
“I am so pleased to be standing here today to celebrate Fushifaru’s 2nd anniversary – it has been a long but very rewarding journey! ” stated Ahmed Siaar, General Manager of Fushifaru Maldives. “Over these past two years, we are very proud to have achieved many milestones. From winning awards such as the Booking.com Guest Review Award and the Haute Grandeur Excellence Awards in 2018, to winning the 2019 Leading Beach Resort Award a couple of months ago… and on top of that being ranked in the Top 10 Maldives Resorts on TripAdvisor… We are overwhelmed by the achievements of such a young but dynamic resort.” He added that “all of these achievements are proof that we have exceptionally succeeded in creating a unique, authentic, fantastic and unforgettable experience for our guests and we are so excited to keep moving forward and seeing what the future holds.”
The General Manager also expanded on his future vision and Fushifaru’s sustainable initiatives, “going forward, we will be making a conscious effort to focus on sustainable tourism. This will be illustrated through our efforts to become a plastic free resort, we will have more community involvement and focus on marine life initiatives such as coral planting and preserving green turtles inheritance”.
