Baros Maldives has been recognised as the Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort for 2017 by the World Travel Awards.
The award was presented at a lavish gala ceremony held at the Sun Aqua Vilu Reef resort in Maldives on Saturday 8 July 2017 before an invited audience of the industry’s leading luminaries and international media. It follows presentation of the same award to Baros Maldives for 2015 and 2016.
The World Travel Awards are presented as a result of voting by travel and tourism professionals worldwide. The accolade recognises the commitment to excellence demonstrated by a resort during the previous twelve months.
The winning of the regional award by Baros Maldives automatically qualifies the resort to be considered in the voting process for the award of the World’s Most Romantic Resort 2017, which the resort has won on four previous occasions.
Baros Maldives is a small, lushly landscaped, private tropical island of 75 overwater and beachside garden villas and white sand beaches set in a turquoise lagoon, just 25 minutes by speedboat from the Maldives International Airport.
